Monday Blahs? Chase them away at Key West!

Yes, I have come to love Mondays! And it's not because of work (sorry to say, M*** and S****) :P

What do I love about Mondays, you ask? Simple answer: the DJs and live artists that perform at Key West Resort & Marina. Today marked Eaton Waechter's second full DJ set at The Wave. And what an amazing job he did! He really has the personality and voice to DJ, and I'm so thrilled he decided to try it (and I suspect that he is enjoying the experience :) ). He has great taste in music and had the guests dancing for two solid hours with his British 80s and 90s music selections. I'm looking forward to Tia Heinkel joining him on the airways in the near future (hint, hint)!

Next up, after a reinstall of SAM (yikes!!!), was DJ Loriiii Shepherd with her Funk and Soul set of tunes. She had the guests shaking their groove thangs (still not sure what those are... O.o). DJ Loriiii always puts on a great show at Key West. On a side note, a big thank you goes out to DJ Virgilio Elcano for stepping in with some romantic latin ballads while Loriiii was sorting out her technical issues. Got to love the team work at Key West :)

The day ended with a live performance by vocalist and instrumentalist, Skye Galaxy--probably one of the most exciting artists I've had the pleasure of listening to in Second Life. And I don't write that lightly. This 20-year-old has a voice that will give you goosebumps--so full of passion and emotion. He takes popular tunes by artists such as Keane, Coldplay, and Frou Frou and makes them his own. I see a bright future for this talented young man. Be sure to catch him at Key West every monday at 4 PM SL while you can. (Ok, and he is also the cutest avatar. Today, still in the Halloween spirit, he was dressed up as a lamb--let's all say, "awwww.")

  1. Mondays rock! With Skye Galaxy on the Compass Rose Key West Island was at maximum capacity. I escaped to Key West Shoals and listened from the pirate ship with a few other members. Alea and Blurrr listened from Skinny Dip Island.

It's nice to be able to broadcast live shows across all 4 sims of the resort!
